** Start dates are flexible and not restricted to the start date on this course outline ** The assessment and quality assurance qualifications are part of an integrated suite of TAQA qualifications for training, assessment and quality assurance practitioners. Level 4 provides routes for learners to understand internal quality assurance in learning and qualify as an assessor. This course is NOT eligible for 24+ loans. There are two units within this qualification. Unit 1: Award in understanding the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practice Unit 2: Award in the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practice Students must study for both units which make up the Award. Who is this qualification for? Anyone who: 1. Works in, or is looking to work in quality assurance. 2. Carries out quality assurance in occupational sectors, accredited learning and non-accredited learning qualifications. You will require two assessors, each with a minimum of two candidates of their own. You will develop the following knowledge and skills: 1. The functions of internal quality assurance (IQA) in learning and development. 2. The key concepts and principles of the IQA of assessment. 3. Planning and preparing IQA activities. 4. Different sampling techniques. 5. Judging the quality of the assessment process. 6. Giving feedback, support and advice to assessors to maintain and improve the quality of assessment. 7. Standardisation requirements. 8. Information management.
