** Start dates are flexible and not restricted to the start date on this course outline ** The assessment and quality assurance qualifications are part of an integrated suite of TAQA qualifications for training, assessment and quality assurance practitioners. Level 3 provides routes for learners to understand assessment and qualify as an assessor. Only the full Certificate is eligible for 24+ loans. There are three units within this qualification. Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment Unit 2: Assessing Competence in a Work Environment Unit 3: Assessing Vocational related Achievement Students must study for unit 1 plus either 2 or 3, or all three units. Unit 1 plus one other unit makes up the Award. All three units make up the Certificate. Who is this qualification for? Anyone who: 1. Works in, or is looking to work in assessment. 2. Carries out assessing in occupational sectors, accredited learning and non-accredited learning qualifications. You will require at least two learners to assess for both Units 2 & 3. You will develop the following knowledge and skills: 1. Key concepts and principles of assessment. 2. Different types of assessment. 3. Planning and facilitating assessments. 4. Risk assessment involved with assessment. 5. Documentation involved in assessment. 6. Judging assessments and giving feedback.
