Photoshop: Improvers

For learners who have previous experience of image editing, or who have completed our beginners course. The course includes an introduction to layers and how layers can be used to produce sophisticated digital imaging effects. Other more complex editing skills are taught through a range of project based work.

Course information

Name: Photoshop: Improvers Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Media and Communication Qualification type: Assessment A mixture of whole class teaching and one-to-one where necessary. Each technique will be carefully demonstrated and projected onto a large screen. Learners can then practice for themselves using the Centre's computer equipment and supplied images. Tutor support will always be on hand. Most techniques will have an associated hand-out so that learner can practice at home. ? Entry requirements

Hand-outs for each lesson will be provided, though a notebook and pen will allow the learner to make extra notes that are applicable to their own software and hardware. Some image editing software is highly desirable, if not essential, so that the learner can practice skill at home. Photoshop or Photoshop Elements are examples of suitable software.
