Potters' Wheel: Beginners

Tick something off your bucket list and have a go on the potters' wheel for the day! It's messy and harder than it looks but you may be one of those people who discover a real love for the ancient art of making pots on a wheel. Come on your own or with a friend and have a day of one to one tuition in a small group. Additional technician costs have been added to the fee. Discounts only apply to the tuition fee.

Name: Potters' Wheel: Beginners Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Crafts, Creative Arts and Design Qualification type: Assessment Group demonstrations and one to one tuition; each student will have use of a potter's wheel for the day. Students and tutor will agree a half hour break for lunch. Lunch is not included, but can be purchased in the college canteen. Entry requirements

1. An apron or overall, 2. Wear old clothes and shoes. This is a messy class. Please note that it is very difficult to use a potter's wheel if you have long finger nails. The tutor advises that you trim them before coming. You may also want to remove rings, bracelets and your watch, so precious jewellery may be safer left at home.
