This course will give you the theoretical and practical skills that you need to start a career in the travel & tourism or customer service industry. On successful completion of the course you will be able to progress to Level 3 Travel & Tourism courses. GCSE-Retakes (16-18 only) You will be retaking your GCSE Maths and English, if you did not achieve Grade C in any of these subjects, as part of your course to enable you to progress onto Level-3 qualifications. Work Experience opportunity (16-18 only) As part of the programme you will conduct a work placement in travel and tourism sector. This will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge into a practical work setting. Enrichment Activities A range of Enrichment activities are incorporated within the programme. Examples of Enrichment activities conducted are lectures by guest speakers from leading travel experts Visits to various industry leaders, trade events or seminars. You will have an opportunity to participate in internal and external events where you will be able to show case your skills. I-Learning Sessions This is additional time embedded in your programme for your study to promote independent learning. This time is used to work through assignments, complete homework activities and conduct wider reading and research. Support Tutorials (16-18 only) Group and one to one tutorials are set up on the programme to further assist you with successfully completing the course and provide you with professional guidance and support throughout the course. Personal Learning Plan Sessions A course tutor will be allocated to you on the programme. Your course tutor will be working with you to set realistic targets that will enable you to achieve your goals.
