If you have an E or F at GCSE then you will be enrolled on the Certificate in Use of Maths course. This qualification is at GCSE Level but is more about applying Maths to everyday situations. The more practical style of the course makes it less off-putting for many students and so more accessible than the GCSE. In some instances a C grade Certificate in Use of Maths may be seen as equivalent to a C in GCSE Maths.
