Our Bachelor of Science degree will have two pathways with each containing a variety of specialised modules suited to the different areas of Information Technology and Computing. The two* pathways offered on this course are: - Software Development - ICT Systems Support Modules taught in 2015/16 ** are listed below: Software Development*** - Research Project - Mobile Application Technologies - Advanced Database Technologies - E-business Development & technologies System Support **** - Research Project - LAN: Technologies & Design - WAN: Design & Implementation - Network Systems Security - Cloud Computing *should sufficient numbers not prevail we reserve the right to infil numbers or collapse a pathway **this does not necessarily mean that these modules will be repeated in 2016/17 *** Students following the Software Development pathway must have a foundation in an Object Oriented Language (especially Java) in order to do the mandatory unit Mobile Application Technologies. **** Completing the Systems Support pathway will give you the foundation (the underpinning knowledge & skills) to prepare for the professional qualification leading to a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and Engineer (MCSA). Please note that additional study, outside the brief of this course, is required.
