This course is made up of 17 units that combine practical tasks with high level theoretical understanding. Through completing these units you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your working knowledge in workshop/site safety, electrical principles, science and regulations. Throughout the course you will study the following topics: - Health and Safety - Environmental Legislation - Electrical Science - Overseeing and Organising the Work Environment - Planning and Selection - Preparation and Installation - Termination and Connection - Inspection, Testing & Fault Finding If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
