You will study six units that will serve as an overview of the care industries. During the one year course you will participate in academic, practical and work-related activities that will cover the following topics: - Developing Effective Communication in Health and Social Care - Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care - Health, Safety and Security in Health and Social Care There will also be three additional units that will be handpicked by the lecutring staff to further expand your understanding of the sector. You will also complete a work experience placement within an area of health and social care. If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
