You will use 2D and 3D based applications to complete practical projects. You will also attend lectures to help further develop your understanding or the industry as a whole. Sessions on this course will cover the following topics: - Computer Game Story Development - Drawing Concept Art for Computer Games - Sound for Computer Games - Object-Oriented Design for Computer Games - Computer Game Engines - Pre-Production Techniques for the Creative Media Industries - Communication Skills for Creative Media Production - Research Techniques for the Creative Media Industries - Understanding the Computer Games Industry You will also participate in a final major project which will see you utilising the skills you have been taught to create your own game assets and environments. If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
