The Football Academy in partnership with professional League 2 team Cambridge United FC provides you with an introduction to the game of football, the sports sector and the potential career opportunities within them. The Academy has been developed to improve your footballing skills as you receive top class football coaching and play in the Football Conference Youth League (under 19). You will also continue your studies in the classroom to broaden your understanding of the game, fitness/performance, and coaching and sports development. Training and games for the Football Academy are regularly monitored by the Academy Head of Recruitment. You will receive 9 hours of coaching from FA UEFA qualified coaches and compete in games weekly in addition to key content from the Sport Pathway below. Starting at Level 1 our Academy has been designed to allow you to progress through to levels 2 and 3, earning nationally recognised educational qualifications that can help improve your career prospects. The qualifications we offer are listed below: - Sport & Active Leisure Cetificate Level 1 - Sport First Extended Certificate Level 2 - Sport BTEC 90 Credit Diploma Level 3 Each player will need to pay approximately £200 on enrolment for their training kit and their match day tracksuit.
