If you are seeking preparation for an exciting career in the Exercise, Health, Fitness and Sports Performance Industry, this two year programme will meet your needs. The course is delivered by a dynamic staff team that have a wealth of current practical experience in the industry and research expertise. The course has been accredited by SkillsActive which means that students are eligible to enter the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) at Level 2 Gym Instructor (after Level 4 completion) and at Level 3 for Personal Trainer; Exercise Referral and Older Adult disciplines. This means that students can move immediately into their chosen career fully qualified to vocational national standards. Students on the Foundation Degree gain valuable experience through a 240 hour industrial placement during the second year of the course. The 'hands-on' / practical approach should appeal to a wide range of students including those already in employment due to the option of a part-time route and the opportunity to use prior work experience to gain credits from parts of Level 4 of the course.
