The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants CIMA is the professional and examining body specialising in Strategic and Financial Management. The first step towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant is the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. This qualification is open access requiring no previous accounting knowledge or experience. You do need to be proficient in Maths and English. The certificate is made up of 5 exams each assessed by Computer Based Assessment in College, when your tutors feel that you are ready. The certificate consists of; C1 - Management Accounting Fundamentals C2 - Financial Accounting Fundamentals C3 - Business Mathematics C4 - Economics for Business C5 - Business Law On Completion You can progress onto the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting.
