Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering

The engineering industry are keen to recruit apprentices as a way of increasing the number of younger people joining the sector, which has a predominately older workforce. Apprenticeship are also seen as a way to fill the ‘skills gaps’ that have been identified in engineering by developing the skills of new and existing employees. Advanced apprenticeships offer a clear progression route for people working in engineering to follow.

Name: Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Qualification title: NVQ Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Through a combination of training, guidance, support, self-study and activities in the workplace. On and off job training either through group sessions or on a one-to-one basis. The NVQ will be assessed using varied methods depending on learning style.
