This course is designed for learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties and disabilities. The course includes practical study in areas like animal care agriculture horticulture horse care and conservation. You will also learn about healthy living working with others and develop your cooking and independent living skills. Professional and vocational qualifications lead to accreditation be it from an examining body such as City & Guilds or Edexcel or professional recognition such as from Construction Skills or Lantra. The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) recognises vocational achievement through the attainment of credits for units of study and for whole qualifications. The smallest qualification is the Award then the Certificate and the largest is the Diploma although there are other intermediate qualifications also available. The duration of study will typically reflect the size of the qualification.
