Apprenticeship framework in Barbering, lasting a minimum 12 months + Functional Skills Training Included.A Skills Group apprenticeship in Barbering combines on-the-job training in one of our state-of-the-art hair academies with ongoing support to further develop your skills and knowledge in your salon. Your apprenticeship will consist of all the mandatory units listed below plus a number of optional units dependent on the requirements of your role, and agreed with your employer. Mandatory Units • Advise and consult with clients • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp • Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work • Cut men’s hair using basic techniques • Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques • Dry and finish men’s hair • Create basic outlines and detailing in hair
