You will cover five units which are industry-led skills: garment construction using industrial machines, introduction to accessories, basic pattern cutting, construction techniques for bags and design principles for mood boards and trend research. You will also study ESOL with a fashion theme to develop your language skills.

The work completed will form part of your course assessment. It is assessed and graded internally by a combination of practical work with end outcomes, presentations, exhibitions and written work. The work produced will relate to specific unit assignments and by the end of the year you will be expected to have completed your folder and two garments.
