This is a part- time day release course and you will study the following units: - Contribute to Workplace Good Housekeeping - Ensure Your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety - Maintain Positive Working Relationships - Diagnose and Rectify Light Vehicle Engine and Component Faults - Diagnose and Rectify Light Vehicle Chassis System Faults - Diagnose and Rectify Auxiliary Equipment Electrical Faults - Identify and Agree Customer Vehicle Needs You will learn and develop your skills through a mixture of lessons, demonstrations, assignments and practical tasks in the College workshops and classrooms. You will be assessed through a combination of: - Workshop based competence tasks and questioning - Written phase tests - External online testing - Appreciation of Health and Safety in the workplace - Repair and overhaul of mechanical components - Basic fault finding and diagnosis - Customer careYou will learn and develop your skills through a mixture of lessons, demonstrations, assignments and practical tasks in the college workshops and classrooms. You will be assessed through a combination of: - Workshop based competence tasks and questioning - Written phase tests - External on line testingThis Level 3 qualification prepares technicians for ATA assessment at Diagnostic Technician level.
