This is a one year course that will include both practical and theory work. All aspects of hairdressing including cutting, perming and dressing hair will be studied. Students will be expected to wear uniform and present themselves in a professional manner as practical work will be assessed in the commercial salon. You will need to work in a commercial salon for one day per week. The college may be able to assist in finding you a suitable work placement.How long ds it last?1 year.Who is the course suitable for?The course is for 16-19 year olds who wish to enter the professional world of the hairdressing industry and train to be a Junior Stylist.What grades do I need?You need 5 GCSE passes at grade D or above including 2 at grade C in an appropriate subject or a Hairdressing Diploma/Certificate NVQ Level 1.How is the course assessed?Continuous assessment via practical course assignments and written evaluations.Are there any extra costs?It is advised that a kit and uniform is purchased f
