This course is a great choice for those who wish to work in this ever expanding industry and provides an excellent opportunity for gaining employment in Health Spas or establishing your own business as a holistic massage therapist. The course will enable you to gain the skills and knowledge of: Body Massage, Hot Stone Therapy massage, Indian Head Massage and Pre-blended Aromatherapy Massage as well as Health & Safety, Client Care and Personal Health & Wellbeing. The massage therapy course covers both practice and theory, including anatomy and physiology, of the following: - Body Massage - Stone Therapy Massage - Indian Head Massage - Pre-blended Aromatherapy massage - Health & Safety - Client care and communication - Personal Health & Wellbeing - Origin of massage This course requires home study, timely completion of assignments and external multiple choice exams. Practical assessments are carried out on a continuous basis on external paying clients. You will also keep a portfolio which will be verified externally. You should be prepared to experience treatments as part of your learning. Professionalism is very important. You will be required to wear a uniform at ALL times during your course. This consists of a therapist's tunic and black trousers (no jeans, jogging bottoms or leggings). You will need black flat comfortable closed in shoes (no trainers). You will have your hair tied back. The only jewelry allowed will be a wedding band and small stud earrings. You will be required to achieve 90% attendance to complete the course.
