Thisprogramme is suitable for anyone with a strong interest in, and a passion for, exercise and fitness. It is run overfour semestersand meets the appropriate National Occupational Standards and Key Skills for the sector.Students will undertake modules in exercise and fitness as well as personal and professional development, asthe course is designed to foster lifelong learning in its participants. The course was originally designed in consultation with some of the industry`s leading professional bodies including Fitness Industry Association, SkillsActive, Sports Coach UK, David Lloyd Leisure, Bradford Bulls and Northern Fitness Education.Students willbenefit fromlectures and support from staff with extensive experience of working in the fitness industry, in conjunction with work placements during both years of the course. Applications are welcome from people currently working in the fitness industry or those with a keen enthusiasm to develop themselves in this field.
