Extended Diploma in Production Arts (Stage Management, Lighting, Sound) Level 3 - If you are seeking a backstage career as a Technician or Stage Manager in the entertainment industry working on live shows, this course gives you an opportunity to train and gain experience with our professional facilities across a range of technical aspects. Areas of study are the background of lighting, sound, video, temporary installations, stage management, set, business and historical aspects. Your production experience will cover dance, drama, conference, bands, musical productions, cabaret, revue and concert performances, plus touring shows. You will also develop your Functional Skills in Maths and English. There are regular opportunities to work on live productions and you are encouraged to gain work experience in an external theatre, entertainment or media-related organisation at appropriate times.
