This course is designed for both 16-19 year olds and mature students who are interested in Hairdressing. This is a one year course.
Name: Hairdressing - Level 2 Diploma (VRQ) Qualification title: Diploma in Women's Hairdressing (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Practical assessments will be performed on paying clients to ensure competence. Oral questioning will take place at the time of the practical assessment. All practical assessments will be graded based on performance to either Pass, Merit or Distinction. You are require to keep a record of achievement log book as evidence of Hairdressing skills performed, this will form the basis of your portfolio. Mandatory exams - there are online tests for some units of the course and other units are covered by assignments. You will need a compulsory uniform which is to be worn at all times to both theory and practical classes (the style is determined by the College). For theory classes you will need paper, pens and an A4 ring binder. Salon hairdressing tools/ equpiment can be purchased on course commencement.
