Uniformed Services - Preparation for Entry - NCFE Level 3

This is a course for people who are interested in one of the Public Service careers. The course particularly focuses on getting the students physically and mentally prepared for entry into the Police, Fire Service, Ambulance, but especially the Armed Forces. The course will suit anyone of a practical nature who wants a vocational course and who is interested in gaining the entry standards for one of the public services.

Name: Uniformed Services - Preparation for Entry - NCFE Level 3 Qualification title: Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment All work will be continuously assessed and students will build up a portfolio of practical and written evidence proving competence over a range of performance criteria. In order to obtain the full qualification, all units must be passed. Work may be written, spoken or practical. Some will be individual and others will be group tasks. Entry requirements

You must be prepared to wear a uniform of a t-shirt and sweatshirt which may be purchased on induction day. You must participate in all local visits for which a small contribution to travel costs may be required. Sports kit as well as suitable clothing and footwear and warm waterproof clothing for the occasional visit or walk and the compulsory residential is required.
