This AS/ A level reflects' the society we live in and helps us understand the world today. The course studies the Cold War, as relevant today as it was in 1989. It examines the pressures within the Middle East, bringing insight and understanding into the regions conflicts. The coursework unit allows you to develop your analytical & research skills whilst you choose the subject. Remember you do not need to have a GCSE in History, all that is required is an interest and desire to understand.

Name: History Qualification title: AS Level Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment Assessment for AS level history is by two written examinations each of 1 hour and 30 minutes with equal weighting.These exams will be sat at the end of the first year and do not contribute to the final A-level.
