This apprenticeship framework contains eleven mandatory units in the diploma including communication, health and safety, duty of care, the role of the health and social care worker and safeguarding individuals. You will have a choice of optional knowledge and competence units covering different areas of health and social care such as supporting healthcare activities and clinical procedures which allows you to tailor the framework to suit your job role. In addition you will study employment rights and responsibilities, personal learning & thinking skills and will be required to take Functional Skills in both English and maths. You must achieve all elements to be awarded your apprenticeship.
