Over the course of a year you will develop the knowledge and skills at level 2 to prepare your self for employment as a junior hairdresser or barber. In our modern professional salons you will continually develop your skills on real paying clients. The skills you will learn are how to shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, colour and lighten hair, cut women's hair, cut men's hair, cut facial hair The art of dressing hair and styling men's hair. By participating in our work placement program at one of our many partner salons you will develop your professionalism and employability. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of managing your clients and your own health and safety whilst working in the hairdressing industry. You will also develop a sound knowledge and understanding of client care and communication when working towards the salon reception duties and client consultation for hair services units. Upon successful completion of level 2 your natural progression will be to continue to level 3 in your second year to become a senior stylist/barber.
