This course has been added to our suite of qualifications in response to industry and student-led demand for practical training in make-up and techniques for the theatre, film, television and photographic arena. The programme balances skills development, production and event experience and competition work with academic study. You will have the opportunity to explore and develop skills in media make-up, camouflage make-up, fashion and photographic make-up, style and apply pastiches and prosthetic pieces, airbrush makeup to the face and design and apply face and body art. As well as hands-on creative lessons you will have the opportunity to extend your health and safety practise and client care and communication skills. You will develop your own style portfolio and creative ideas with a visit to a professional show in London. You will have the opportunity to take part in competitions and showcase your skills at the college Hair and Beauty Show.
