This course is designed to prepare you for work in the Construction Industry with a progression route leading to the Level 2 Diploma in Plastering. The course has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions and the assessment is based on the students showing what they can do. The course will include theory and practical sessions in:-Health safety and welfare in constructionPrinciples of building construction information and communicationApplying scratch coats to internal backgroundsApplying floating coats to wallApplying setting coats to wallPrepare background surfaces and mix plastering materialsFixing sheet materialsAs part of your study programme additional short courses will be included that enhance your skills knowledge and employability prospects.All students will either gain or improve their existing English and Maths qualifications.
