This course is aimed at students who are interested in studying Art and Design as a broad subject range and the multi-disciplinary route involves a programme of study which is flexible and meets your interests and aspirations. In your first year you will undertake the core units the content of which includes:- Drawing painting and other mark making- Exploring the uses of media and techniques- Developing concept designs- Generating and presenting work to an audience- Study of Art and Design PracticeIn addition you will undertake assignments based in Photography and Textiles.In the second year of the course you will specialise in your chosen area of study including the Final Major Project.The specialist units will be underpinned by a solid grounding in basic Art & Design skills with opportunities to work with a broad range of students in other creative disciplines on collaborative projects.These assignments are complemented by a range of study visits to gallaries outside exhibitions fashion shows and foreign study visits. Subsidary Diploma Diploma and Extended Diploma routes are available.
