This course is for people who teach or would like to teach Mathematics and Numeracy in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This course is for people who teach or would like to teach Mathematics and Numeracy in the Lifelong Learning Sector. Run in collaboration with The Institute of Education, University of London, the first year takes place at City and Islington College and the second year takes place at The Institute of Education, University of London. The course runs for six hours a week and incorporates face-to-face teaching, workshops, group discussions, practical sessions and individual support. We will introduce you to teaching through group teaching practice in a training class. You will also undertake a teaching practice placement, supported by a subject specialist mentor. We will support you through tutorials and feedback from teaching observations, which will be provided by experienced subject specialists.
