This course combines practical and college-based learning enabling you to develop your expert knowledge and skills in all aspects of working with children.Develop the skills employers demandGain practical on-the-job training, supported by a mentor at work Improve your career prospects and enjoy a range of opportunities for progression This course is for early years' practitioners such as nursery nurses, playgroup workers or classroom assistants who have a minimum of two years' experience working with children and wish to improve their career prospects. As well as studying theories of child development and carrying out child observations, you will also have the opportunity to develop your academic writing skills, improve your communication skills and your ability to plan and manage your time. This will help to enhance your employability and provide opportunities to critically evaluate aspects of the EYFS curriculum. Topics include Play, Language and Learning; Aspects of Health; Working with Parents; Early Years Provision; Principles and Practices; Multilingualism; Special Educational Needs, Management in the Early Years and Protecting Children's Welfare.
