Learn to Draw and Paint - Summer Landscapes

On this course you will explore landscape with the local area as our inspiration. We may look at the following: Pencil - drawing with line, shading, mark-making to show textures Charcoal - creating a ground to work into, making marks and textures, smudging, lifting away with a rubber, using a rubber as a drawing tool Watercolours - washes, using a range of brushes, mixing colour, colour theory and using a limited palette, textures Acrylics - impasto style, painting with a knife, colour mixing, Themes taken from local landscapes will include: mixing greens, creating distance and depth through colour, trees and shrubs, flowers, streams and bridges
