This course will provide the opportunity to develop practical vocational skills, knowledge and understanding for work in the expanding area of leisure and recreation. This flexible course gives a broad introduction that not only explores the various career pathways but also examines the key skills required to succeed at work, this one year course is ideally suited to people who want to work in the Sports Industry. You will study units including Practical Sports, Nutrition for the Sports Performer, Anatomy & Physiology, Planning and Leading in Sport and Psychology for the Sports Performer. All learners will have the opportunity to access practical coaching situations with local schools and clubs. Full Time Study Programmes are built around a collection of key elements which all learners benefit from, these include:  Main Qualification in the subject of your choice  English & Mathematics qualifications for all learners who have not yet achieved A*- C grade in either subject  Work Experience or External Work Placement which is planned with you at the start of your course and links to your career goals and ambitions  Weekly Tutorial with your personal tutor  A wide range of Enrichment Activities to support your broader skills, such as team work or communication
