This course is designed to give you the basic skills and knowledge associated with Carpentry and Joinery. It introduces you to hand tools, portable power tools and understanding timber technology. This Level 1 course is very practical with the majority of sessions delivered within our carpentry workshops and reinforced by classroom sessions. During this Carpentry and Joinery Diploma you will undertake a series of units including Safe working practices Information, quantities and communication, Building methods and construction technology Basic woodworking joints Using and looking after woodworking hand tools Preparing and using portable power tools. The course is based in the well-equipped facilities at our South West Skills Campus in Weston-super-Mare, just south of Bristol.
