Ideal if: you are working in the industry and want to become a qualified boat builder You'll need: to be employed within a marine related industry You'll learn: both theoretical and practical training in all aspects of boatbuilding: practical woodworking, boatbuilding technology and composite manufacture Expect: to spend one day a week on campus in addition to your normal place of work, developing your skills in building, fitting out, finishing or maintaining boats You'll learn: working in specialist wood and fibre-reinforced plastics workshops You'll go onto: improved promotion prospects, or progress to an advanced apprenticeship in Boatbuilding
