Ideal if: you wish to pursue a career as a furniture designer and maker, and have already gained a basic level of craft skill and would like to further enhance your skills and knowlesge. You'll need: basic literacy and numeracy skills and a relevant qualification, or experience. You'll learn: the principles of furniture making and finishing through both theory and practical sessions, enabling you to make a variety of furniture items. Expect: to be assessed throughout your course. You'll love: spending 80% of your time in our well-equipped workshops, learning your craf hands-on. You'll go on to: employment, an apprenticeship or further studies at level 3 or our Furniture Design and Making Diploma.
