Reading College's BTEC is unlike any other in the country. You will join Reading Studio of Dramatic Art which is a partnership with Reading's professional theatre company: Reading Rep. If you are looking to go to drama school work as a theatre professional or go to university to study in the arts then this is the course for you. You won't be learning in a classroom you will be working as a professional company of artists and staging numerous productions open to the public. You will be taught by leading industry experts as well as highly qualified academic staff to ensure that you receive a fully rounded experience and are prepared for life in the industry. This is much more than a qualification this is an opportunity to train with a professional theatre company.

Name: Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary/Extended Diploma Qualification title: BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment During the first year of the programme students will work towards a Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma (equivalent to one A level). Successful students will be able to progress on to the second year of the programme where they will work towards either a Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (equivalent to three A levels) or Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Diploma (equivalent to two A levels). The opportunity to work with Reading Rep will improve your chances of getting into drama school and enhance your CVs. It will also provide you with references from professional practitioners.
