You will be introduced to each stage of the photo-etching process including how to prepare and output images for photo-etching using Photoshop. preparing the photo-etching plate. testing and selecting exposure times. and developing. etching and printing from a zinc plate. You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities and develop your ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints. The course is a combination of structured teaching and informal workshop time. There is a studio fee of £7.50 payable to the tutor which covers basic materials. except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio.
