Surrealism- an experiment in chaos

Surrealism began as a European literary and artistic movement after the first world war. Its nihilistic view of the world will be examined in paintings that feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur. We will examine the paintings and the movement's legacy.
