This course is designed for those working in a salon and want to gain an apprenticeship in hairdressing. Along side your hairdressing qualification, you will have to complete Maths and English and Employment rights and responsibilities. You must have access to perform hairdressing services within your salon.

Name: Level 2 Apprenticeship Hairdressing Yr. 1 Qualification title: NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF) Qualification type: Functional skill Assessment The Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA) set the standards of Hairdressing NVQ- s. Assessment is continuous throughout the course. When you feel confident that you have mastered a skill, your assessor will observe your work in the training salon. When you both agree that your standard is commercial and competent, then the observation record is signed and transferred to your evidence portfolio. Evidence for your portfolio is collected throughout the course in the form of assignments, projects and case studies, you can photograph work that you perform outside of college or get a witness testimony from your work placement, written tests and oral questions are also included.
