If you are interested in a career in working and learning skills as a Sewing Machine Operative or Cutter, an Apprenticeship in the Textiles Industry may be for you. You could work in an organisation which produces items of soft furnishings, furniture or any product which needs a sewn finish. Working in the Apparel industry would teach you pattern cutting and sewing skills but dealing solely with garments which can be worn. You could be a Dressmaker, Pattern Cutter or Sewing Machinist working in a variety of organisations such as bridal shops, garment manufacturers or tailors. To undertake an Apprenticeship in Textiles and Apparel you must be committed and have the determination and motivation to succeed.
