The Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship is designed to develop the practical hand skills and technical knowledge to work in the building services industry as a painter and decorator. This role is vital to the Construction industry, which is an important contributor to the economy. Skilled staff are always in demand in this sector and many job opportunies are set to be created over the next few years with the approach of the 2012 Olympics, the new jobs being created by the Crossrail train network, the increase in demand for new homes and more energy efficient buildings.
