BTEC Nationals are QCF Level 3 qualifications designed to provide highly specialist work-related qualifications in a range of vocational sectors and is nationally recognised. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for specific areas of employment or to progress to higher education.In the creative media production course- the concentration is on production.You will learn professional skills and techniques to enable you to produce your own products in animation, graphics and a range of single camera productions. You will also develop the skills and knowledge required to research, plan and pitch proposed productions to professional industry standards. And as a group make a live TV show for a “client” in our multi camera studios. You will be expected to exhibit a final 1st year piece in the end of year show.In the 2nd year of the course you will further your skills in to the areas of music video, audio production and multi camera studio operations in our own TV studio. You will also study the area of experimental film and take part in and exhibit your work in our Experimental Film Exhibition.You will exhibit a show reel of your work and a final outstanding project in our ever popular, end of year "Arts and Media” graduate exhibition.The extended diploma is equivalent to 3 full A Levels.The diploma is equivalent to 2 full A Levels.
