It develops competence (0-8 years) therefore confers qualified Early Years Educator status. It provides routes into immediate employment in a variety of settings and into Higher Education.The BTEC National Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development comprises of 13 core units plus specialist units that provide for 1080 GLH. 750 hours minimum of work placement is mandatory over the range of age groups.Core Units:Child Development, Play and learning, Physical Development, Health & Safety, Working with Parents, Children's Speech and Language, Safeguarding, Observations, Deflective Practice, Implementing the Early Years Curriculum.
