The Vocational Level 3 Photography at Brockenhurst is available over one year, with further study after successful completion of year one to year two and the Extended Diploma. The Diploma course is equal to one and a half A levels and a two year Extended Diploma equal to three A levels. The course is usually over three or four days, giving time for students to complete practical work set. We deliver a broad range of photographic skills, from studio work through to stop motion animation; all staff are current working photographers, with wide industry experience. We run trips including at least one overseas trip every year. The BTEC vocational Photography course is a nationally recognised qualification. The course at Brockenhurst is well respected; students have won many national and international photography competitions, and have progressed to some of the best photography courses in the country and across Europe. We have a large stock of loan equipment available to students once studio fees have been paid.You will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in higher education and employment. The two year course consists of eighteen units including Computers in Art & Design, Location Photography, Studio Photography, Experimental images. There will be a mix of traditional silver based technology and digital imaging.
