Intermediate Apprenticeship in Plastering

UPDATED 20160520 10:06:22

Apprenticeships are a popular choice for young people aged over 16* looking for on-the-job training and the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst earning a wage. Most of your training will be directly linked to the career you have chosen, gaining practical experience in the workplace, backed up by attendance at college just one day a week.An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Plastering will develop your employability skills and give you valuable experience of a variety of routine plastering related activities. You will be working in a construction environment where your duties could encompass many areas of plastering activities such as internal and external plastering and to conform to all aspects of health and safety law. Your exact duties will depend upon your employer. Where possible staff from College Apprenticeships will find you an employer and a place of work (although students who are already employed are welcome to apply if sponsored by their employer). Your offer of Apprenticeship training will be dependent upon work placements being available.Apprenticeships are a great option for school leavers who want to get straight onto the career ladder. An Apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 GCSE's.* Please note priority is given to applicants under 19 years of age. Due to funding arrangements, places may be limited for those aged over 19.
