Wellbeing courses are open to all but are particularly suitable for those adults looking to take part in a course that focuses on health and wellbeing opportunities, or for those adults with learning difficulties/disabilities seeking wellbeing opportunities, personal development and new skills. This is a fun course designed to give you an understanding of how to use textiles in a creative way. A fun way to learn new and extend existing skills. No experience required, you will be learning with practice, reducing stress & improving your ability in creating and improving your health. The class is structured so everyone can work at a different pace, working with individual learner needs. Your course will follow a programme directing you through the stages of creative textiles. You can experiment with felt making, sewing, machine decorative stitching and fabric manipulation techniques. The programme will focus on seasonal colour & texture. Some of the following techniques that will be covered throughout the year include: - Applique - Machine Lace - Machine Embroidery - Pictorial Patterns, Phrases and Messages - Wet felting and needle felting using the needle machine - Stitch and Slash - Couching and bobbin thread technique And more…..
