This course covers: Identifying and using basic electrical components Isolating and testing supplies in line with the requirements of the EaWR and GS 38 Using common electrical test instruments safely and efficiently Reading typical electrical drawings Reading motor rating plates Identifying and connecting industrial motors. Method Of Delivery Lecture demonstration hands-on exercise using real electrical tools and equipment. Who Is It For? Mechanical and other non-electrical maintenance staff. Aim To enable non-electrical personnel to carry out simple electrical tasks safely and efficiently and be able to identify electrical faults. Objectives Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be able to: Use and Understand electrical terminology Apply the principles of electrical safety State the basic requirements of Electricity at Work Regulations Basic Electrical Maintenance www.training2000.co.uk Use and understand simple electrical drawings Recognise and select appropriate types of fuses Connect and disconnect industrial three phase motors Test industrial phase motors Use and fault find on simple electrical motor starting systems Assessment Observation and Questioning.
