The tutors in the Performing Arts Department have an enormous amount of experience in preparing students for further study in Higher Education or drama school and a career in the entertainment industry and preparing students for further study in higher education or drama school, leading onto a career in the entertainment industry. The department has an outstanding reputation throughout the country. You will be trained in the key components of performing arts, through practical classes and further study of acting, performing scripted plays and devising theatre. You will also cover a range of other topics such as: Film and television techniques Physical theatre Classical theatre Contemporary theatre Performing arts business The course is project-based, which means that you will have the opportunity to be involved in the rehearsal and production of whole plays, some of which will be performed to a public audience. You will also learn employability skills.
